District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S.570 (2008). For the first time in American history, the Supreme Court holds that the Second Amendment grants an individual the right to possess firearms, as opposed to the collective right for a state to organize a militia.

McDonald v. City of Chicago, 130 S. Ct. 3020 (2010). The Second Amendment applies to all the states, and not just the federal government.

Magnus v. United States, 2011 WL 31793 (2011). Based upon the Heller decision, individual who pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon pre-Heller is entitled to a hearing on the issue of whether his conviction was unconstitutional.
